Team Treaty Titans Tournament

Hello everyone!

I'm glad to announce the Team Treaty Titans Tournament (TTTT) which will finally be the requested and badly needed top competition for treaty. It will be a 2v2 tourney with a double elimination bracket featuring the top 8 treaty players who are put into balanced teams to create the most insane treaty games played on DE so far. From past experiences on legacy the 2v2 format is by far the most competetive and most action loaded version of treaty and should be incredible to both play & watch. So if anyone out there still believes in the myth of treaty team games being boring 1v1 setups you shall be proven wrong very soon.
All matches will be played as best of 3s except the finals that will be bo5.

Prize pool:

We currently have a pool of 310$ that will be reinforced by any subs/donations from my twitch channel & possibly from other players aswell. The split will be 75% for 1st place & 25% for 2nd place.

Map & rules:

All games will be played on andes upper with the NR40 game setting. Half map is the obvious rule meaning players cannot steal resources from the enemy's side (except treasures) & must have all their units on their own side of the map when the treaty ends.

Civs:

Ethiopia, Inca & Lakota are entirely banned from the tourney to guarantee the best possible gaming experience. Additionally each team recieves one civ ban (only for the enemy team) and can only play one tier 1 civ per team (tier 1 civs: china/usa/spain/france/japan). Each team can only play a civ once per match. So if player A uses france in game one neither him nor his team mate can use it in further games of that series.
Game 1 players agree on civs, afterwards 1st player of winner team picks first & alternate civ picks from then on.

People will start scheduling their games beginning on monday and play their matches asap.

This tournament is easily expected to be the most competetive and stacked treaty tourney in a long time. GL to all participants and enjoy the show to everyone else!
