Fully automatic Weapon Systems

I'm sorry - and maybe I'm the only one, but it really bothers me that the new fixed cannon is a fully automatic computer controlled artillery weapon.

Where's the crew? I've watched crews doing their dangerous work for 17 years, what happened?

Just one of the redundant mechanics that could be removed and none would complain

That may be the case, but I would have wished for more from a DLC than using old objects. But maybe they'll change something. In the past, most new objects were animated quite nicely.

Maybe that's true, but then it could also be because players like me would never have started to like this game that much. When the fights take place without eager reloaders before the cavalry comes, when the last cannon shot has to be estimated because the reload animation gives a brief indication of when to fire again and the animation when the pieces fall, all of that belongs to AoE 3 for me me at least. ;)

This slightly bothered me too, it's one of the reasons why I feel like artillery in aoe4 feels so lackluster and unsatisfying to use. Hey at least on the bright side we're going to have vils operating fishing boats tho with this dlc!

i feel like the idea is that the fixed gun is operated by people hiding in the circular bunker below, so it makes sense you dont see them
