Sweden Eco?

I tried Sweden more often recently and noticed that I'm incredibly bad at booming with them. My idea was simply to get many Torps as fast as possible and send the berry card + ironworks card to increase food/gold yield. To be honest, it feels like my eco is much worse when I do that compared to simply FFing for town centers.

Is it just me or are Torps utter trash? What would do you do if you wanted to play Swedish greedily and boom fast?

Sweden Eco is very good early to mid game if torp boom is left un-touched.

Standard BO with them is 3 vills > 4 torps > 700 wood (use torps to gather this) > Ironworks > Blueberries.

You want to have most of your vills on wood with a few on food and max torps around the map as soon as possible, whilst making caroleans to defend base/torps. by around 8 mins you will be able to double rax caroleans. Good luck!

4 torps means faster elo

i think its because they build faster and sending wagons later when military is on the field is too risky

The 4torp card is to gather the wood crates with the torps. Plus people already chop for the rax and only use one until 700w with that build.
You can send 700w first and drop 2 raxes with that. This means using all the chopped wood for torps and catching up in military count with the double rax.

what about the market and what upgrades to get when?

In my last matches, I built a market during transition and started with the first wood, then food upgrades. The second food upgrade was only worth it after reaching 20 Torps and shifting more villagers back to food. I feel like the second wood upgrade is situational due to its high cost. I would often only add it during transition to fortress age. Regarding the coin upgrades: I didn't have a single villager on coin. To me, that's the whole point of Torps.
