trying to download the patch.

it is saying i dont have an aoe3y.exe for my definitive edition but i dont know where to find it or how to get it so i can then move on with the getting the patch to work!

is there any suggestions or fixes i can do to get this working?

The only thing I can think to try is to verify the integrity of your files. (assuming you are using Steam)

The ESOC Patch is a balance and content patch created by the community for the legacy version of the game, The Asian Dynasties. The Definitive edition was created by the official developers and replaced the ESOC Patch, but many of the changes within the patch are also a part of the Definitive edition of the game.

You don't need the ESOC Patch to play the Definitive edition of the game and to play the version of the game that everyone is playing on right now.

thanks for the info i will have a better look. but been told that the game works just the same with DE, was just the UI looks different from what i remember

thanks for the info, it is just the Ui looks different from what i remember and using the esoc patch i thought made it look different but maybe i am wron but it is ok if the game still works all the same, but i prob gone look at what the other guy says aswell maybe something is wrong on my end

I think I was confused what your issue was so my advice may not have been that helpful. Are you trying to use the legacy launcher to run the Definitive Edition? Because it doesn't use the legacy launcher. You should be able to launch DE directly from Steam.
