Healers only count for one vill on the community plaza, instead of 2 like the warrior priest, as far as I know. so 5 vills would be a better shipment in total, even if you put them on the plaza.Berletex wrote: ↑12 Dec 2022, 16:48What are your thoughts on aging with 2vils + 1 healer then sending 4 healers as your first age 2 card? Could healer boom similar to many Aztec strats. You would want to send Medicine Wheels later on I would imagine. Or are healers just that much worse than Warriors Priests?

would you make any changes to these BOs after the last patches?
Could you maybe link one of your streams where you do these builds, because while the writing helps a whole lot, it is hard to figure out how many vills i need where during transition, and the fast age rush also feels like you have to constantly shift villagers until you get your 5 vills in.

Re: Haudenosaunee Guide
I guess in theory you could ship 5 vills and then train 10 healers on the plaza as a second way to train an economic unit alongside your TC. I wonder if thats ever worth it, probably not though. Haud is bad at turtling and booming in general, you really need to set the pace of the game with aggressive play I think.

Wow, wow wow, amazing guide, I wish I could find these things in 2006, today I would have been a "casual" rated player of a totally different kind.
Sure, I should have done by myself, but who has ever done everything by themselves?

Re: Haudenosaunee Guide
@kevinitalien the new 3 vill age up gives 2 vill and a healer, do you still go for that one for FF, and if so do you fit in a firepit or just use healer for healing units? Also when do town destroyer, FI, and crate age up come into play? Lots of new cards in age 4 for Iro but the mixed crates make macroing for FI a little weird

Re: Haudenosaunee Guide
ye you can use the vills age up for ff, you just need to gather 100 more wood in transi for the firepit cuz ye you put the healer on the firepit for the xp, ye concerning ageIV you need to anticipate your macroalistairpeter wrote: ↑21 Sep 2023, 03:50@kevinitalien the new 3 vill age up gives 2 vill and a healer, do you still go for that one for FF, and if so do you fit in a firepit or just use healer for healing units? About town destroyer its more like a meme strat, tho vs port is kinda good honestly cuz then port can't TC mid map and need to idle a lot his eco for shoot your explo with his TC, so its good for you, also you just siege tp with it if you can't kill the TC

Is the dock start still good even after the recent nerf to the dock's building time ?

hmm, it is just me or has haud lost their tempo? Besides units strong as always, something feels slightly off now. Any recent changes or just other civs getting better?

In transition to age 2 if u wanna go greedy, but going market + hunting dogs then building some houses is better than getting +2 boats in transition. After that depends on how the first fights go u can usually manage a strong 1 dock water boom.

Re: Haudenosaunee Guide
Can someone please tell me how to have an eco that doesn't suck with Haud? I am more of a boom/turle into cool units player, can't make it work with Haud though. I'd like to be able to FF and not get crushed because my eco sucks. How is booming or turtling actually done? I read elsewhere about Agrarian ways being critical, I guess I am supposed to FF and then send Agrarian ways? How do you boom without water?
Re: Haudenosaunee Guide
haud is never going to have an insane eco that can just shit out units, it's just not the civ's style. you probably aren't getting crushed when you FF bc your eco sucks, but because you're not playing the matchup right.
you can in theory boom with haud by starting with a farm, going 3, and making your age 3 travois an estate, and then sending agrarian ways and training all the res techs. but this is just super slow vs most civs and I think sending beefy haud units is almost always better. apparently North American Trade card is good too now, you could try that

three times a year i try to give TWC civs a shot and lose every game with them. they are civs that get their "eco" by doing tempo strats with strong units. i always over greed their actual eco, never use my units, lose all tempo, and by then my strong units may not be that much stronger and my big greed took 3 cards to pull off and isn't actually that greedy.
you may prefer civs like brit, japan, dutch, ports, france, germany, malta, india and etc. Agrarian ways is a fun card but SHIT, and I lose every game when I send it.

Re: Haudenosaunee Guide
If you want to turtle, your best bet is a healer boom into warhut spam. Use cards like medicine wheel, 4 healers, extended fortifications, town ceremony, advanced warhut. Try to reach age 4 earlier rather than later to camp with light cannons. Build more tcs as the game goes on and use the healers to speed up villager production, you don't really have better catch up mechanisms in eco. And use the big buttons for crates eventually. But yea iro is probably the least boom/turtle oriented civ in the game and there is no way to make it work competitivelycrispybuttphd wrote: ↑15 Feb 2024, 06:27Can someone please tell me how to have an eco that doesn't suck with Haud?
