Inquisitors in 2v2
Soo I've been encountering this strat more frequently in the last month than ever before and so far, myself and my 2v2 mate can't really find a way to hold it off.
If you're unaware, the cheese strat is Germany and Russia in 2v2s with Russia's Age 2 Team Patriarchy card, making healers cost 50% and train 50% faster. Germany sends Witch Hammer which allows Inquisitors to be trained at the saloon, TC's, Church and outposts. It also brings their pop cost down to 2. They normally cost 100g but with Team Patriarchy they only cost 50g and train in a few seconds.
The idea is russia feeds you gold while you spam the shit out of these units and overwhelm 1v2. With the Fever Mission upgrade from the church they train instantly, have 203 hp, 15 siege damage(!) in melee range and do 30 sieging attack and can heal units. They also apply burning damage lol.
Sooo anybody had any success stories against competent players using this strat?

Re: Inquisitors in 2v2
i think feeding otto to get up early and massing abus is probably the best way of dealing with it. i guess raiding their gold once youre up too is probably good whilst abus just kite indefinitely.
trouble is if russia uses brain and makes coss with it then you cant really win but alot of them are just braindead fucks so you might be able to get away with it

Re: Inquisitors in 2v2
Great point, slinging might be the right way about it. Cheers for the feedback

Re: Inquisitors in 2v2
The strat is no more after the latest patch but my best bet would have been skirms, potentially with CIR and a few units infront to block while trying to get them atleast somewhat away from mines.
Re: Inquisitors in 2v2
I managed to beat it a couple of time by heavy turtling with light infantry behind walls and towers, once they commit they cant go back.
with india if you managed to age to fortress team and 7 urumi with mahout eat them like ants.

Re: Inquisitors in 2v2
Fortress generally has a few ways of dealing with it like Skirms(with CIR for most civs) but getting there is the hard part. Some players said they had great results when slinging spain into age3 for Lancers.
