Hi everyone

It’s been quite a while since I last visited this place. And today I found it almost empty, imagine a wasteland in front of me with wind howling and tumbleweed tumbling. It feels sad.

It was almost a decade back when I was a freshman in my university that I found this community and I loved my stay here. Now I’m much older, closer to my thirties and working professionally as a dev (a journey that I started as a volunteer here at ESOC, thanks to Ryan).

So I want to make this little request. If you have ever had any interaction with me e.g we played a game or two together, chatted on Twitch/Discord, communicated on Forum. Please, I’d be very happy if you could post a message here.

Ashvin/Octanium (or whatever else name you know me from)

Welcome back Ashvin ! yes we all get older, people are coming who never knew the original AoE III... things can be the same for years and then changes arrive fast. Congratulations for your job !

Hi Ashvin! I’m glad to hear you’ve become a developer. Unfortunately it’s simply another instance of fat_n0el and licktator mancl abusing unpaid internships while they scammed the people of esoc to avoid paying their taxes /s

The forums are hibernating a little, the people are getting older, but the memories are just as real and DE has given the game enough of legs to stand on.

Me a ribbon, they, all dead
Things scream.

IKR, most of that sweet donation was spent on buying and maintaining Team Houshe HQ in Korea.

Do you play these days? How are you doing?
