Yeah Callen was right it's playable. Problem is finding people to play with. The lobby population is clearly casual players only, I guess everyone else is playing ladder. Need to get an obs crew going like back in the day, who's in??

The problem is DE interface is very anti-social. 2005 ESO wasn't.

I don't think anybody uses lobby for 1v1s, just ladder.

1v1s are far more balanced than team imo but you'll sometimes find Frontline and others between 1900 - 2300 elo hosting a lobby, but usually 3v3s.

yea most activity is 1v1 on ladder. there are little team game communities like with igormatador and others, decent south american team game presence too I think, keturboy been playing team, you can find high level team lobbies but you have to be looking for them at the right time. Some of these players will stream, so you can get in that way.

That's half the problem, no great or consistent way of hitting players up. everyone in a different 'cord. the 'cords are boring.

Lack of OBS maps is sad for tournaments as well. On EP when you could start the lobby with casters you knew casters could let you know if anything was fucked up, and could just focus 100% on the game. On DE I have to stress about whether or not a remembered to check "enable spectators" and keep my discord open when playing when I'd prefer to keep everything closed and muted except for aoe3 (and Spotify).

I feel like the bugs are probably fixed and that the game runs well.

For what it's worth, I have quit playing the game, mostly because it crashes on my PC like 75% of the time during a late-game battle. I believe my PC specs are sufficient - I have no problems playing Halo: Infinite on reasonably high settings, for example.

I also had zero problems with DE for the first several years after it came out, with the same PC, when many others were reporting frequent crashes. I can only conclude a bug introduced in recent patches causes crashes in my particular environment for some reason - maybe my graphics card (GTX 1660 Ti) is uncommon or something.

I think so far nobody has done that. At least, I have not seen any. Crazy actually, those used to be so enjoyable. Now, you can spectate but not chat.

Yeah that's true. P1 and P2 play vs. each other and P3 to P8 watch the game and can chat with each other, which P1 and P2 can't see.
