Not in serious serious sense. I admit to exaggerating but that is simply cuz of people are often underestimating the importance of actions of UK, and it receives little to no blame when it should receive significantly more. People often attribute WW1 to 2 things, the immediate trigger being the assassination and the German blank cheque to Austria-Hungary. But those were just the immediate triggers that triggered the war. Europe had more or less been a melting pot of conflict for past 400 or so years. WW1 was a result of years of years of political maneuvers. Yes its unfair to blame any single state and UK is not the only nation but at any given point UK along with Germany were the only 2 nations capable of halting the slide of a regional war into WW. Yet UK receives no blame for the mishaps it created. Without UK in all likelihood the war would have stayed a regional Balkan war.

WW2 is more complex. France, UK, USSR bear equal culpability for enabling Germany to invade poland. It also in a sense was result of denial of French and UK positions that they were no longer the glorious nations of the past and that they had fallen on the world stage. Similar trend is seen in US now, but it still retains the economic, technical, and military (arguable) advantage.
