Re: Rough ELO > legacy PR conversion?
Anyone have a rough conversion for team ELO on DE to PR?

The Piroshiki Landmark Method consists in looking for piro current elo. Thats means pr30.
To increase the accuracy of the system, you should also factor in the TGSIM.
TheGreatscythe Interpolation Method. Where you use current scyte's elo as pr24, and with piros pr30 you interpolate the elos of everyone else.

I think you need to pin GreatScythe at captain tbh. The only reason he used to be below that is decay.n0el wrote:Applying this method yields:vividlyplain wrote:Piro is currently rank 120ish? Don’t recall elo.lemmings121 wrote:To make a propper conversion, you have to use the PLM.

GS is 1330 elo.
PR 50 = 2390
PR 45 = 2144
PR 40 = 1959
PR 35 = 1774
PR 30 = 1589
PR 25 = 1404
seems pretty accurate ngl

October 2022 this method produces the following curve:lemmings121 wrote: ↑03 Feb 2021, 01:47To make a propper conversion, you have to use the PLM.

y = 39x + 515
Data points:
piro (1685 Elo, PR 30)
greatscythe (1451 Elo, pr 24)
Results yielded by the TPLM and TGSIM, Oct 2022:
Pr 35 = 1880 Elo
2000 Elo = PR 38
#1 blayer (opti) = PR 42

Years of engineering and working in the field, but this one is probably the best equation I'm the author of, I should try for a masters degree expanding on this

Re: Rough ELO > legacy PR conversion?
I was between Sergeant and occasionally Master Sergeant on TAD and now I'm sitting in the lower 1300s in 1v1 Supremacy and 1535 in Team Supremacy.
I play only vanilla and TAD civs with the good old build orders and I never revolt.
But the problem with DE is that 80% of the people are casuals .... Many are just scared to touch Ranked. Saw tons of people with under 10 matches in any Ranked mode.
Imagine if all these people would play Ranked :(

Re: Rough ELO > legacy PR conversion?
Don't declay below PR25 right, not 24? Shouldn't make a difference with cpt being 26.RefluxSemantic wrote: ↑04 Feb 2021, 12:30I think you need to pin GreatScythe at captain tbh. The only reason he used to be below that is decay.n0el wrote:Applying this method yields:Show hidden quotes

Re: Rough ELO > legacy PR conversion?
Greatscythe broke 1600 the other day. I think there's been an overall ELO shift, maybe as top players have left the game and the ELO inflation has tumbled down the ladder. I think we need to run the equations again. Get the ESOC scientists working on this
Re: Rough ELO > legacy PR conversion?
does he still play germany

gs11, pr24, 1350 Elo (eyeballed avg of his graph history)
piroshiki, pr 30, 1750 Elo (eyeballed avg of his graph history)
y= 67x - 251 (funky curve, negative Elo)
pr 26 = 1500 Elo
pr 29 = 1700 Elo
pr 32 = 1900 Elo
pr 35 = 2100 Elo
pr 38 = 2300 Elo
