Challenge: Show me your fastest built order/cards to go age 5 with the Dutch (e.g. as record or text)

Challenge: Who can go fastest to age 5 with the Dutch on standard land map/normal recources? Is it possible below 13 or 14 minutes? Whats your best built order/cards for it? Please find my attempt (17 min) attached. Can you beat the 17 min?

Oooh I'm just reading you said normal map. I just did it on Mongolia with a time of 13:44 but I suppose the high cow maps don't count

ok, I did it again with more care. here's 13:21 to imperial on Great Plains with Dutch. No yaks, just 3v->700w->bank wagon-> 7 sheep+livestock pen -> 1000c


edit: huh its not letting me upload a recorded game. here's a screenshot at least of when i resigned at 13:27. i hit imperial at 13:21 though I swear.

I got 13.47 with dutch but 1600 food in age 4 instead of sheep, and a bit of a shoddy BO

I got curious and got a ~14 min Mexican Imp (revolting through yucatan, took a tp at the start but forgot to take a screenshot,) and a 12.53 British Imp (no tp). Both on Great Plains with only bottom tier treasures.

I remember the video of a sub 10 min imp with otto using water and I think there was a competition back in the day for the fastest France imperial age but I don't recall the times.

Aztecs might be a cool one with the age-up cost reduction at the community plaza

I can't find the thread, maybe it was on agesanc, but we did a fast imp challenge years ago where Iro ended up winning (iirc no other civ was competitive). I don't remember the time unfortunately.

those times were only possible in single player where due to high fps the gather rates were actually far higher than they're supposed to be

i don't know. but for any practical reason you should be looking at what dutch build orders there are for the purposes of TR20

I didnt record the dutch game sadly but you've peaked my curiosity for fastest imp age in DE.

I recall single player on AOE3 used to have wacky rates depending on fps so on GP I don't think any civ can get sub 10 mins.

USA might be the fastest otherwise I just did a 12.53 France with TP, could possibly chop it down to 12.40 as I overgathered food before fur trading in age 2

With the age 5 merc shadowtech age up in DE I wonder if fast imperial might actually be viable in some circumstances

That's the idea with the USA Fast Imp. Mexico may be able to pull it off too. Haven't tried these builds with an actual viable BO, its all about age up times.

Dutch can Mercs in Imp but I haven't seen outlaws yet.

Someone in 1v1 ladder hit me with a 15 min imperial. He had like 20v (USA) so the point of aging I’m unsure, as he could do absolutely nothing with it. Anyways, he aged to IV with the card that sends shipments faster, and sent at some point the 2 card shipment, and shipped the thing that gives his 1600 res shipments 3200 res and deposit straight into bank, and shipped those. It was a very boring game.

Sometimes optimal aoe appears very boring and turns into artillery micro.

That USA build only works if he's going for outlaws (cowboys in particular). If you do a fast imp in general you're too poor to actually make anything other than a shadow-tech unit.

I think executed well you can hit imp at 12.30 with that USA build
