Japan had his fair chance. At least it's easier to play that way instead of suffering a strong rush with Kami.

Besides picking bad fights, what did he do wrong?
Maybe too many Nagi (not cost efficient)?

eh, i think his bo isnt very good at all. hes gambling on taking down the blockhouse and snowballing from there, but his eco is in the gutter and strelet musk cossack just destroy his combo.

on eso maps russia is counter of jap, but russia jap in my opinion is a MU who depends a lot from the map

It looks like it indeed.
However, I find his BO inspiring. Instead of gambling on the blockhouse, you can siege his TP, raid his base with nagi or just keep your units in your base, while playing full eco behind. 600w for 4 shrines + market, follow by 4 vills x 2 or 600c if Russia decide to push.
Also, instead of making 5 clubs, you can make only 3 or 4 and use 100 export for a barrack just after aging.
This needs some testing.
