I feel like this is not a bad thing. 99% of people won't fall for it, and the 1% that do will learn a valuable life lesson and hopefully will think twice when they receive an email from Prince Chibuike Munashe in Africa asking for their bank account number so that he can transfer millions of dollars to their account.....

because 99% of scammers are kids from africa (Nigeria, Benin etc) who send email by thousands every day from cybercafes, seems pretty relevant to his comment

Thus is the shittiest analogy ever. The definition of rape is that it is non consensual (unless in the case of the girl being a minor and the guy being an adult). However, giving fozzybear your password is completely consensual. You have time to think about what your doing and make a logical decision. If youre raped, its probably a guy who jumps out of a dark alley and just rapes you or slips roofies in your drink.

Actually most rapes occur in a familiar envirent, such as home, church, sports facilities by people acquinted to the victim. The type of rape you describe is fairly uncommon. Often there is some consensus prior, such as agreeing to meet in a certain place or something similar. The analogy doesnt go entirely, but when do they ever, the point is that if u did ur line of thought in rape cases u would be victim blaming. Obviously stealing accs is not as serious as rape. But the fact u think its a good thing that people learn to distrust each other is pretty fucked up

But people do learn to distrust eachother. Younger peopleare generally relatively gullible and could fall for something like this. The thing is, this doesn't need to happen for someone to learn that you can't trust everyone. Something like that will just come when you are older. Don't need to lose an account for that.

So you would have everybody trusting each other whole heartedly? Now thats fucking stupid. Its not the 1800s anymore. You cant invite complete strangers into your house and not expect something bad to eventually happen. If youre nieve enough to believe that Microsoft will contact you through ESO on a player account wanting only your password, your either 80 years + and arent as sharp as you used to be or super gullible and need a wake up call. When these things happen it teaches you to be more cautious in the future and not take everything you see at face value.

Your reasoning puts the fault at the gullible, innocent and goodhearted. Instead of the people who do wrong. If the bad actions of others leads you to go doen that same path, even if only a little, its a vicious circle that wont ever end. The best way to take vengeance on someone who had wronged you is to not become like him. Distrust will never restore good moral relations in society, it will only worsen it. Obviously it doesnt mean you have to be naive, but to say its a good thing because it teaches you a lesson is obscene.

you could try to ask for his password, u give him a fake one, and before you guys are supposed to exchange you change it/with the email adress still staying online from the agecomm website. not everyone is aware that u can change his pw while staying online and would be pretty hilarious to steal his acc
