Official 2018 FIFA World Cup Thread
So at the 14th of June the football world cup in Russia is gonna start. What are your expectations and who is going to win?! I personally think either Italy or the Netherlands is gonna be the champion!

I really look forward to see Belgium in action, I think they played very well doing the Euro Cup.
Germany, Brazil and Argentina are of course strong contenders, as usual.
I almost forgot... Iceland!

Spain and Brazil are scary, imo France/Argentina/Croatia can do very well or very bad

France has the sickest team ever. The most insane part is that they can field a team of top tier player with an average age of 24 or sth, thats insane. They left players home that'd be the star players of some teams (lacazette, benzema, martial for example). Supposedly their coach is kinda silly though, but with that team you're a favorite.
Belgium has a good team but really that coach cant make it work, theyre an outsider at best imo.
Germany, spain and brazil are the other favorites I think. Argentinia maybe should be qualified as a favorite. Uruguay, Croatia and portugal are the dark horses I guess.

Deschamp is one of the very best french player ever and is a great coach. He is really a winner (won everything with any team as a player) and that's what the french team needs.
I think this world cup will be between France and Spain. I don't believe in Brazil and I think Germany will miss a goal scorer.

They need to qualify for it first.

Deschamps is an average coach being carried by good players. Your midfield is insanely stacked yet has looked dire and has been struggling in the last couple games. Look how france lost to portugal in euros 2016, you should have won that game easily considering CR7 went off injured and how much better your players were.

Denmark has 3 ez games vs France, Peru and Australia, after that things become more tricky.

I disagree, you can't judge by only one game, every coach has already lost one match to a lower team in their live, that's football. They did well at the euros 2016, going to the final was a good result since the team, despite being good, wasn't as strong as it is now.
I agree to say that Deschamp is nothing special in strategy (despite still doing a good job most of the time), but he is a real leader than can inspire a team.

Re: Official 2018 FIFA World Cup Thread
If Martinez wasn't such a retard to leave insane players at home and put noobs in the team, Belgium would actually have a decent team. Also, Kompany's injured again, so bye bye defense.
