He veto'd this map. I don't know why he didn't veto Klondike instead, as it has one more TP. I guess it's because Klondike is a low hunt map...

I decided to veto Cascade because it has no TP, and because it's low hunt.

I like it vs India and Jap too, despite getting less treasures usually. The fact that you can have control over the map helps. And resource placement isn't great either vs those 2 civs.

I don't like this mentality. If you are prepared to lose in your mind, that is a huge disadvantage. Even if the odds are not on your side.

Yea I agree. There's not much he could have done tho, maybe cheese. I was surprised to see that turk went for his std 2v/600w yumi build on Klondike, a 10 ashi/5club would have been scary, although I prepared for it.

Likely the reason he didn't veto Klondike I suspect is because you get 6 berry bushes there, and you aren't likely to maintain a high shrine population even if there are hunts on the map vs Aztec.

Nah they're really shit. They give like 1 xp/s instead of the average 1.2 xp/s or so. Riki made a post about it
Plus the fact that you don't get a relevant xp pass in age 1 if you go early tp, which is pretty big

Well you get 2 passages. The route probably has lot of blank tiles to give so much less xp

You get 2 passages instead of one because the route is short, so it's still a decent first card passage.
As for blank tiles I mean not counted tiles, like those at the ends of the route. It must have more than usual to give less xp/sec. In fact the shorter the route the higher is the ratio between not counted tiles and total tiles, because the travois resets more times.
