UI 3.0 Design Suggestions
So it's been a long time since the last (official) update to the Spectator UI. I'll keep this short.
Over the past week or so I've been exploring the potential use of UHC for the spectator UI with the help of Kao and Kevsoft and am extremely impressed. So we're skipping UI 2.3 and going straight to 3.0.
Need some ideas from the community here. Assume that anything is possible, and please submit designs. Since whatever you suggest might not be possible right now, but could very well be made possible once you've suggested it.

Firstly the Ui is great as it is, if nothing would change it'd still be incredible to use. However there are a few things that would be quite nice to see added/adjusted in my eyes.
- Firstly it would be really nice to see certain things added into the recalculated pop if possible these being:
Summer Palace and other wonders (E.g Summer Palace is roughly 4 vills)
Teepee Aura and Karni aura (Highly Doubt this one is possible)
Trading Posts counted as x number of vills (E.g roughly 4 vills each with stagecoach)
- It would be quite nice from personal experience to add the option for an extra one of the HUD things, like the things you can chose out of Shipments Sent Units in queue etc. So maybe let you split the large one into two? (See RED BOX on picture)
-Again i don't think this one is possible but showing shipments in queue?
-Finally an ability to switch to different players POV, although with how it works atm, spies iirc, i don't think is possible?

We'll see. Those are more to do with editing existing features, though. Assume the current UI never existed and someone came along and said they could make one, but they just need a design with a description of possible functionality.

It's hard to give good feedback because the UI is probably damn perfect as it is already.
What about showing the player's screens on the minimap? Like this?

Yes, aoeo has that feature and I really like it as an observer.

Same engine yes, but a more recent version, they added and changed a lot of stuff in AOEO. I don't really know is this specific stuff can be done. Depends if the screen position of players is shared or not. but an interface compatible with all resolutions? I have tried to see but any resolution that I put to me the viewer's interface does not put itself on purpose

It would work for all resolutions, no need to worry about that. Just needs a good design at the moment.

Yeah that's possible in theory.
If people also have idea about how to organize the displays, it's welcomed too ofc.

Personally, I always thought that the recalculated eco pop graph was nice, but that it didn't offer information that was actually all that important. I'd personally rather see other eco stats in conjunction or in place of recalculated eco pop, like current resources income, total resources gathered, or total idle villager time.

Current income is a great idea, @Darwin_
Maybe another suggestion is to have the player names in the UI (not the score) be larger, more visible. pop stats and current age too.

2. Market upgrades/cards being multiplied across vills gathering said res in recalculated eco graph (eg 10 vills on food with eco theory shows up as 11)
3. What res stagecoach tps are set to
4. Firepit dance + number of dancers
These are bonus ones:
1.Total food, wood and coin left on map
2. Apm

Hmm, EP tried in the past to add an APM stuff, it leaded to BIG lags, I don't think it will be possible, and tbh, I don't think APM is a very useful data, most of the players are clicking 10 times at the same place on the map or whatever, many of the actions are useless, either being tics or just because they like to spam clicks.Jerimuno wrote:A little box that shows the player's apm?
