700g-700w-8 pikemen (7 rod in EP)-5 lancer, 12 pikemen, 4 lancer
Mass lancer and win. Skirm cannon don't work in this MU.
China don't have dragoon so lancer+dog+pike is great, and in EP it should be even better (you have 5+4 lancer 9+8 rodelero).

Lancer-huss-rod/pike is great. Skirms and falcs are meh vs opening deathball china anyways. The lack of a real goon means huss lancer can beat everything but intervention. Changdao suck vs lancers

Lancer sux, this unit is worth than vet hussard. China just need to spam there cav + redcoat and rect your lancer rodo compo. And more the game is longest more this mu looks unplayable. Probably an other mu where the best way is ff allonie and light a candle.

Revolt?

Check the NWC tabben vs diarouga game or Umeu's games.

I feel revolt is kinda hard to hold as China. Mass imperial huss are strong and CM do fine VS China cav. Plus some heavy cannons.

Revolt can be very scary for fortress China yeah, you have a deceptively small window to get Spain's TC down and if you don't have hand mortars in deck you're pretty much screwed, unless you just straight blind FI or something but idk if that beats a greedier revolt.

Yeah, if China FIs, Spain can just get 2 factories etc. Not sure if age4 China can hold the revolt, especially since it hits earlier with a bigger mass. Rattans also aren't that useful VS imp huss.

China can push hard in Age3, but Spain can hold with a fort or even adapt in time (eg if China goes forward) with Age3 play.

In your game vs tabben at the LAN, what was the moment that you realized he was revolting, and how did you plan to defeat the revolt?

When I saw the fort. Thus I had to kill the fort instead of the TC (which means GG).

The plan was to kill the heavies with my boats and beat his militia/huss army with my land army but the huss were too strong.
I needed to wall and buy time.

Yea revolt is pretty strong vs china but, well, i can't consider revo like "normal bo" vs anything. If your opponent know how counter your stuff you are just so dead. I have other cheese vs china but i want try some "meta" game vs them, and i am not sure i can do that.

Well, I'm not an expert on Spain, but can't you "semi revolt"?

As in: play normal Age3, but don't push too hard, mass rods and vet huss, send 2 falcs etc (maybe push early on and then go back). Keep raiding him with huss/Rods, don't overextend.

For China, pushing vs 2 falcs is hard, unless you have 7 hand mortars, but even then. China will also be afraid of a big trap of melee units (rod/huss).

So eventually send resource crates, go age4, he will push then, revolt and trap.

8 skirm age up with intervention+7 hand mortars should beat that I think, but I guess it could work, especially if china doesn't have hand mortars in deck.

idk if its possible due to time issues, but what do you think about shipping manchu as 1st 3rdAge card?

I like it vs Ger or France, but I think it could be a little slow vs Spain.
