In the spirit of Liquidpedia, this thread is to keep track of all the tournaments hosted in AoE3 history and remember all those who won, or came close (top 4). This list I posted a while back on Inter's youtube, but the list is far from complete, so if anyone knows about a premier tournament played on ESO or Fanpatch that I haven't listed yet, please provide the info. I will not include the JapCom's tournaments (even though I know Ryan won one) but if someone is willing to do the research and provide a full list, it can be included here.

2007 WCG:

2008 WCG:

3rd/4th The_Demon (lost to H20 1:2 in a very good match) and SKWZZ_iGiuL (also knows as Luigi, lost 0:2 to iamgrunt)
5th-8th StarSky (lost to The_Demon 0:2), Airlity (lost to H2O 1:2), Asgard (lost to iGiuL 0:2) and I thin M4rky (lost to iamgrunt 0:2)

2008 was great, it was in Germany and therefore I was there, saw everything live and in colour!

from 2009 to 2010 there were like 5-6 tourneys played on various fan patches and won mostly by_h2o or samwise12. Te very first one of those was won by Challe.
Also in 2011 there was another tourney hosted by the jp community and won by _h2o.

Besides those I think there were a couple of big tourneys hosted between 2007 and 2008.

maybe I finde even more Tournaments, I KNOW there was a 2v2-tourney called Battle of the Best (BoB), and [hope]Finn and [hope]_Ruthless placed 1st, beating [MMC]StarSky and [CF]NaturePhoenix in a BO3. But this is all from my memory, I cant find anything in the web, so dont take this into your list!

Nice job ! Besides 1v1 tourneys, I think there were 2 team tournaments on nilla & tad. Both held by aoe3battles.

Naturephoenix lost In group stage 2008. You can google these things though there is a wiki page with brackets.

The demon (my training partner!) got third only losing to me. Fourth was skwzz_luigi.

NerVe 1v1 $750 tourney (TAD FP1.1a) - in 2010:

1st: Samwise12
2nd: Flooky
3rd: H2O
4th: Luigi

Note both Sam and Flooky won an official AoE hat, as shown in the pictures here

However, I never did get to see either of them in their hats, which was a shame.

Also, I remember some kid called James ran some tournies on a site that was set up just for aoe tournaments. Can''t remember the name of the site now though

I'd pay money for it to see him back haha (rofl) Would be nice to see him playing on his original account Iamgrunt. (Imagine if he suddenly shows up in your friendslist.) Did anyone here (h2o maybe?) have had contact with him recently or right after he permanently stopped playing?

i know that he played and won a 100K(or it was 10K?) clan tourney in aoe 2(WCL7 ) in 2011, thats the last time i heard of him..

Man this is cool, I was just scowering RTS sanc news posts for tourneys just a few days ago. Saw some interesting ones, and I think one I saw ruthless won the first ever tourn. Ourk and skwzz guys finished top 3 in early days

before that I remember playing in a TWC TR20 game - hosted on Elorating.
I think either NightScr3aM or _H2O won that one (lol I played both as part of the first rounds - can u say massacre?)

3rd place was some guy like whitewall or something haha. He thought he was good because he was winning nr games and me and NS bashed him. I played him on Great Lakes in a Spain mirror and he got owned haha

yea lol - he was "good" as he mostly played people on my level and below and won those with ease. Then when you and NS came along things changed

I still remember you coming into this tourney, and playing me using Dutch - best rec I ever got! After that game I totally owned HAHA, I now had the strat to kick ass. LOL.

Yeah as recently as like 2012 I played in treaty games where it took them losing to my Spain a few times to realize that I could just walk on and play at that level or higher lol.
