How do you defend an fb th as China? Is mm still an option (sentries to shoot and irregulars to siege, or maybe just sentries)

Based on what I hear, china is actually really good at breaking fwd bases if you are willing to use aggression

China has good military shipments (7 cav, 8 bow, 9 pike) but they age late and after their first shipments their army is pretty slow.

How do you defend an fb th as China? Is mm still an option (sentries to shoot and irregulars to siege, or maybe just sentries)

Not really.
Not only do you only get 4 of them but they also have a negative multiplier.
They still force the vills away but they don't kill instantly.
On the other hand it's just 80f/c and you are likely to gather excactly these resources anyway.
So: don't blindly send them but do so if actually scouted forward vills.
