Sweden recs

I was going to write down a new Sweden guide and post recs but cba and I only post the recs. Please note it's not a selection so they are a bit random. Some are good, some are not. I guess the relevant thing is that older games have more primitive strat/build order, newer games are more refined. htt...

Re: Hausa age 2 into Hausa?

Hausa option (500w ageup) is as standard as it gets, so yes it's good.

Re: Poker

Those measures do stop some cheating because they make it harder. Harder = less cheating, both in terms of attempts but also effectiveness. I mean the sole fact you have to use a VM or some remote control (I don't even know how that works exactly) is a step that reduce the number of people that are ...

Re: Poker

It is a complex topic. Personally I think that any measure that makes cheating harder is welcome and still better than none. In your example, another PC would be needed, which is already a valid deterrent for some people, as it makes screen scraping a more complex task. Not to mention you need some ...

Re: Poker

No it does not, you get a warning and GTO+ interface also locks out. Tbf I wouldn't be too happy as your opponent knowing you have a solver opened while playing

Re: Poker

A quick update from me. I switched to playing primarily tournament poker about a year ago and built up a 1-2k bankroll on unibet and around 1k on gg poker playing low and microstakes respectively. More recently I have played some cash games (my job means I don't really have time for an MTT session ...

Re: Poker

The call was 58.5 into 142.5 so I needed ~30% chance to win. I was almost certain he had QJ but figured the boat outs plus the very small chance he's bluffing or value jamming worse might get me to 30%. I was surprised to find my equity at almost 23%, I was estimating it a bit lower, anyway do you ...

Re: Poker

Ye bluff catching on the river by definition is basically 0 EV I want to make sure I understood this correctly. You're saying if your opponent is perfectly balanced your range is necessarily indifferent between calling and folding? I guess this would mean you should decide between the two based onl...

Re: Poker

Thanks. I was definitely less comfortable folding the first one, and I think your analysis makes more sense than mine at the time. Got hit by a 10 BI downswing where they just have it EVERY TIME and I of course never get paid when I do. And the flips have been so bad that I'm just not expecting to ...

Re: Poker

Made a couple of tight folds just now that I'm not sure are correct. This first one is probably not a reg because their preflop size is too big. Basically I found their small river donk super suspicious (it just seems like a fish with a big hand scared of a check behind and wanting a call) and trie...

Re: Poker

For buying gto wizard, don't bother. Great tool for many things but too expensive and atm you can't even practice a spot from a nodelocked flop (or atleast I don't find a way to make it work). For practising in general, GTO+ is great. Solve a list of flops at night or whenever you're not at the PC a...

Re: Is DE slowly turning into a pay to win/enjoy game?

Actually it's not just balance. Balance overall it's not even terrible. It's more about the clusterfuck of features that DE added. To OP question, yes new civs have a different design where they have potentially access to almost everything. Old civs have design limitations in terms of unit roster fo...

Re: Poker

GTO+ is a great tool, I also have it and I don't regret at all buying it instead of piosolver since it 90% of the same features but costs considerably less. GTO wizard is indeed too expensive for its use (I have it but I don't use it nearly as much as I should to justify the cost). Great tool noneth...

As is typical for me I took another 6 month break and recently started up again. Now playing 10 NL zoom (on GG because we STILL don't have stars here). Re: Chinese immigrant vs ATP

Its good, better than atp, but you arent exactly providing a fair and unbiased comparison I think it's quite enough. With Chinese immigrant you AT LEAST got 2 free TPs which are as tanky as Dutch bank. Even if your opponent train pikes immediately and burn them (still take time), and you just let i...

Re: Chinese immigrant vs ATP

No it's not fair. It should not provide a starting TP or the card should cost atleast 150w. Alternatively, each travois could cost like 100w. Afterall spanish pikes also cost resource to be called.

Re: Inca fort damage doesn't add up

Win rates at the moment are completely useless, sample is too small and the meta keep changing (in general not necessarily Inca) so there is too much variance. It would take atleast 50k games from the same patch at 1800+ level to start drawing any conclusion about a civ. Anyway, this thread is not a...

Lol Inca is the best or 2nd best civ and it has been this way since forever. I don't remember a single patch where Inca was a weak civ.

TWC dlc didn't launch with any of those things happening (even tho iro still were OP at launch and Aztec also had couple broken things). In general who cares about the single strat (balance) when there are DLCs whose design is a meme.

Re: Inca fort damage doesn't add up

Huaraca are not worthless, they also do fine against infantry and they do their own siege if Inca is given the opportunity to attack. Advanced artillery is too slow and it's not a solution. The sole fact that you slow roll a civ that enjoys buying time to outscale while raiding you to death is game ...
