do i really have to start with level 1 homecities for eso? in eso

I've been on a Mac for years and years. Meaning I've played aoe3 on gameranger for years and years. Finally I have a PC and I want to play on the ESO servers, but that means starting with level 1 homecities and no access to the shipments necessary for build orders.

Do I really have to grind out the civs I want in order to get competitive shipments? Is there any way around this? It seems so weird to have this very grind/mmorpg aspect in an rts game thats supposed to be about player skill alone.

Hey @dr_love , welcome to our forums. We have the XP-MOD for exactly this problem. With this, you have to play 1 game against another person playing on the XP-MOD, and you will get a level 100 home city. If you have an asian home city above level 100, all other home cities will start at level 100 as well.

The easiest way to play on the XP-MOD is by doing the following(copied from the XP-MOD thread):

• Download and run EP Launcher.
• Click on Tools -> Launch XPMOD.
• Get someone else to install the same mod (or someone who already has it). A good place to find people is in this thread or on our Discord server (we have a dedicated #schedule-xpmod channel for it).
• Play a game together on Fast mode. Ideally use an Asian homecity as that will allow you to create any other homecity at a high level by default, afterwards.
• Wait until 2 minutes of game time pass, then one of you just resign (the winner will receive the XP).

While I really appreciate your appreciation, there are plenty of other community members who would have done the same and who are also helping people out, whether it's on the forums, Discord guild, Reddit or Steam. However, I do think this positive feedback is quite motivating.
