Until the match actually starts.

Normally winnings are paid out right away but sometimes I'm not there to do it. In that case your points might be stuck on that match until I get a chance to.

The first results are in, and @Cometk is our first man to beat. @Garja and @Kaiserklein are close behind. The result, kynesie 3-1 Conquerer999, was expected, so it wasn't a big jackpot but Comet did more than double his points. He can't complain, but he'll need a lot more wins before breaking out the champagne.

With the round of 32 behind us and the dust settled, @yemshi is in the lead with 7k points after some solid betting. He (apologies if I wrongly assumed gender) has been on top for 4 out of 5 matches now, winning points in 3 of them. Newcomer @TheNameDaniel is trailing by 1600 points, has also been doing very well. In third is @spanky4ever, who is no stranger to the betting top 3. Legend @zoom came close once, but fell off and is now sitting at 1350 points. Classic.

Bets are open for the first ro16 match, LordRaffle vs Lukas_L97, which is being played today at 18 GMT. We're in for some high level play, but raffle is certainly favored. Should be some good opportunities to bet the odds. Upsets have been fairly common in this event so far, though none of them were betting matches. (which is my bad).

Like clockwork, @zoom ran out of points. For newcomers: He does this every betting event. You might ask: But how did he win 3 of them, then? Answer: Donations. "Yes but why would anyone donate to him?!" Haha, yes, well.
To his credit, zoom is himself the biggest donator in betting history, so he is owed quite a bit of favors. The question isn't if, but who will bring him back from the dead, effectively handing him the victory, this time?

After Lukas took the first game against Raffle, many of you must have been shitting your pants. Raffle brought it back and won 3-1 though, avoiding the upset, and a collective sigh of relief was heard among betters. Fun fact: If Lukas had won 3-2, both @spanky4ever and @zoom would have won about 14000 points, having bet 500 on the result. A good gamble, perhaps, even though it didn't pay off this time.
Still in first is @yemshi, and @TheNameDaniel still trails him. The latter, along with @Charlesh, has that elusive 100% consistency (they've both won in 5/5 of the matches they participated in). Let's see how much longer they can keep that up.
