Drop trick

Is there any way to know whether a guy dropped intentionally or unintentionally. And why do I loose elo when it is the opponent who lost internet connection. How to prevent this?

From what I understand, the player who connects to ESO first after the game has ended will win the game. This because normally the player that loses connection will connect to ESO last and thus be the loser. When you drop intentionally you can drop your connection and quickly reconnect & connect to ESO, which will make your the winner.

If you wait out the 60s and you didn't lose connection while he's already online on ESOC, he dropped you more than likely.

Yeah thats how the trick works.

Pretty sure there's some sort of external software, similar to oos, to "droptrick". Because no matter how quickly you relog after being dropped, you always get a loss vs some people. Shoutout to ostéoblaste.
But most droppers just pull the plug, so all you have to do is come back on eso real fast (should be faster than him, as he has no net for a few seconds).

It's a 99% likelihood they dropped you if you were about to just win the game. Everyone loses connections but it's best to play this person again unless you judged it to be blatant.

Just use common sense really. Drop tricking is not hard to do lol
