Why don't we just go back to AOE3 EP?
Why don't we just go back to AOE3 EP?
Seriously guys, this "Definitive Edition" is a joke. It is full of game breaking bugs, missing features and balance issues.

Yes, the game has bugs and issues but there is a full team working behind it and releasing weekly updates to improve the game quality, just be patient and give it time.
Regarding balance issues it is what it is, even on EP, and I am afraid there is only much you can do in terms or balance due to the huge diversity between civs.
Fair play for the EP team who has been working on this for all this time because balancing this game must be a nightmare!

Even with the bugs etc., DE - for me - is the superior game.
I only recognized this after playing on TAD again yesterday due to the OOS-bug. The lag literally killed my will to play.
On another note, did you even try it out, Jotunir? I think you wrote somewhere that you did not want to support DE, because it is a moneygrab.
If it's on sale sometime, I urge you to give it a chance. DE is superior.
and hopefully will grow even better with time. countless patches that fix 2 things to break one thing completely. yay. Seriously, devs, just try playing the game for a week before pushing changes to live...

There are workarounds for that.

The community as a whole would have benefited from ignoring DE until mid-2021 or so. Unfortunately, that's how game releases go nowadays. Cyberpunk is a brilliant example of this, too. From a marketing standpoint, it's impossible to ignore DE as the biggest aoe3 community to date. For now, we will just have to grin our teeth and hope that a tournament-ready patch is released very soon.

Just like over hype at first, the issues are also well over published at this point for cyberpunk. I have gtx 1070 and it runs perfectly fine on mid - high graphics even on hard drive not ssd. Same goes for many of my friends who own ps4. Most people facing issues haven't done proper things like updating drivers and stuff. Regarding gameplay itself, well that's another thingMr_Bramboy wrote:The community as a whole would have benefited from ignoring DE until mid-2021 or so. De is generally fine right now and cyberpunk is fine too.Mr_Bramboy wrote:The community as a whole would have benefited from ignoring DE until mid-2021 or so. How dare you accuse me of necrophilia, you insolent fool! AOE 3 DE is just a big appeal to novelty with bleeding edge technology, unreliable, unsafe and untrustworthy.aaryngend wrote:I guess not everyone in this community is into necrophiliaJotunir wrote:Why don't we just go back to AOE3 EP?
