1. How is China the best civ? It loses a lot of MUs : Germany, Iroquois, brit, Sioux and maybe even Russia and India (not sure though). China in tier A would make sense but it's just not S tier.

2. I'm not sure how Russia and Otto are tier C when Port and France are tier B.

China wins/can win all MUs. Vs Germans is close, vs Iro mostly depends on the crate start so, simplifying, china has 2/3 chances to win. Brit is relatively easy MU. Sioux is not easy, kinda like Germans. Russia is not a problematic MU with semi FF builds. India loses to China imo.

Vs colonial, you just apply textbook defense and FF wins easy. Vs any sort of Brit FF China FF is better. Probably even FI is viable vs Brit aging.

Brit ff is better than China ff, not even close. Also colonial play is very hard to beat, although it's not as impossible as VC ff.

Its a very difficult matchup for brits since they can boom all they want but the China mass is always bigger and more powerful. Brits has to upgrade ALL their units except goons, china gets 4 shadowtech units (5 if you include hand mortars, 6 if you include redcoats) which mass quickly and hard counter anything brits can make. In what world is a brit ff superior to china??

Brit ff is superior to China ff, not close as I said. I don't remember losing even once to a China ff doing a brit ff, and I think I've played all the strong chinese players, the only games I lost were against colonial stuffs or FI because I scouted too late and got cheesed.

I'd personally move Japan and Port up one but I've always hated Japan's design and feel it should burn in a fire, so I'm prejudiced .

I'd go as far as saying Brit is the counter to China. Really, I'd prefer any other MU over Brits if I'm China for the reasons Dia and Lukas already listed. It's similarly hard to beat India, but Brit is just easier to execute to beat China I feel (Maining both civs)

I think the balance is better than most people make it out to be.

Though ofc it's hard to make a general list when maps play such an important role.

Diesnt really matter as China units are just more effective and st some point Brit loaes tons of income by walkong vills to farther resources. I remember a game you played against Soldier on Hudson Bay and that you lost iirc. You got outmassed by colo Brit but could still ein st several points just because of the tech difference. Also Brit is one of those civs against which going full iron troop from monastery works extremely well I think.
