Is broadcasting a "rerun" stream cheating? Pt. 2; ESOC Transgresses
viewtopic.php?t=14855
My totally valid thread got shut down before, and for why? Now we see ESOC is broadcasting "rerun" streams, o$ten$ibly appearing a$ if live on the $idebar. It's clear I was censored because I spoke the truth and ESOC is afraid of the truth -- ESOC want only monie in monie world but I want TRUTH in SCARY world. thenk you

I don't know if rebroadcasts are the optimal way to go about creating content. That's what's youtube is supposed to be for right?

I must say I am also quite disappointed by the result. Perhaps we can rebroadcast a game some time when we have an hour of downtime (in between a series, for example) but not use it planned. Using it planned is kinda useless, except for the 20 people who haven't seen the match yet.

well, to be fair it lost the mojo when interjection lost power...

Not quite sure what the difference would be? Inters stream would appear like it was live, which is basically tricking people into thinking it's original content. It also doesn't enable us to cut out the downtime in between games, which is a very boring thing to watch.

I think a separate channel for rebroadcast would fulfill the purpose. ESOCTVHighlights maybe?

Theres just no point to a rerun when you can just watch it all on youtube. I never saw the stream go higher than 45 or so viewers and often it was in the teens, mostly with esoc people just afking.

What is the purpose, exactly?

Yep, I left the stream open for hours and there wasn't a single chat message, so it's not like people were re-discussing the series.

I mean, if the media team really wants to rebroadcast, do it on some other channel specially created for this purpose.

Would it not be cheating/tricking/disingenuous if there was a overlay text saying it is a rebroadcast?

The sidebar veils all

I watch streams once per month on avarage, and didn't see the first final matches live. I enjoyed watching them today.
Perhaps it doesn't need to be marked as "live", I agree, but I enjoy it

We did a rebroadcast one other time in the past and it maintained pretty good viewership if I remember right.
Re: Is broadcasting a "rerun" stream cheating? Pt. 2; ESOC Transgresses
the viewer number is not that low, but indeed it makes for desensitisation of the ESOCTV live alert

I don’t like rerun streams.

Pay more attention to detail.

Making a highlights video with the clips from the best games in the tournament might be cool, but just rerunning a broadcast from two weeks ago feels lazy.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.

Laziness is the defining trait of ESOC. @Vinyanyérë is living proof.
