Well, hi everyone.I know what you're all here for. We'll get to it, I promise. But you have to have your vegetables first before dessert. There's other stuff to go over and oh so precious little time in the world, so it's an ESOC News lightning round.

Mitoe has taken the reigns over in the Media team, switching over from business. A round of applause to all of you.
The Weekend Tours Semi-Finals and Grand FinalsIn what I believe to be the most ambitious AOE3 event in recent memory, Kaiserklein punched his ticket to the finals by taking down the ever-dangerous Lord Raphael last Thursday. He now awaits his opponent. Mitoe, the reigning champion, will look to defend his spot at the podium against a familiar opponent, as he's faced off against Kaiserklein twice in recent tournaments, taking him down in the semi-finals of last year's Autumn Tournament and falling to him in the Bronze Medal match of the Warchiefs classic.
But he's got to get through
Knuckle Bear Noodle Bar Nerderber Knuschelbar. After pulling off a 3-2 thriller vs. Conquerer999, the longtime bridesmaid, never-yet bride may have destiny on his side. Will he be the one to finally put Mitoe's brutal reign of terror to an end?
(Wait... Who's media team leader again?... Right. I was kidding. That was just a joke, boss.)
Can't wait? Well, good news! The semi-finals starts at 18:30 GMT
today. That's... 2 hours after this post goes live. Join @

Interjection on twitch, enjoy the match, and I have been told there will be cookies. The best of 9 grand finals will be sometime next week, so stay tuned.
Announcing the Autumn TournamentMitoe stands alone, fallen giants surround him. For years he had tastes of victory, only to experience the agony of defeat in the end. _H2O, LordRaphael, BlackStar. They had had their time, and Mitoe had been on the outside looking in. But in 2017, the crown became his. But here's the thing about giants: They may fall, but they always get back up. And they all have Mitoe in their sights.
Well, it's The Big One.
The Autumn Tournament, the biggest event ESOC does each year, is officially on, boys and girls. Sign-ups are due to open
August 15th and whether you're interested as a player or spectator, there's ought to be plenty to look forward to. Mitoe will try his hand at playing the villain, attacked from two sides as the old favorites and new upstarts look to topple the Canadian Golden Boy. Bettors will look to win all the internet points, and maybe this author will remember to make a bet this time around, as he had predicted a Mitoe win last year and neglected to do anything official. Aizamk will, I dunno, debut an Age 1 Envoy rush or something. And it will work. And I will probably do a post about it.
