ESOC's NEW Site and Signups for the Winter Championship!
ESOC's NEW Site and Signups for the Winter Championship!
Welcome, AoE3 Players, to the new ESO-Community website!
I had mentioned in a previous news post that we were working on a new site for ESOC, and here it is! Now bear with us: it's not a stretch to say that this move was quite abrupt, we had intended to wait a while longer as we polished up the new site, but--sadly--costs were starting to get a little bit too high on our previous platform, ProBoards. As a result, you may stumble across some glitches over the next couple of weeks, but we will be working to fix any issues as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the rushed timeframe also means we don't have a working mobile site just yet, but we'll get there.
High maintenance costs weren't the only reason we decided to move the site, however: by moving the site away from ProBoards, we have also escaped the limitations of their platform, which means we'll be able to introduce some cool new features--big and small--in the coming months!
ALSO
We DID transfer everyone's accounts from the old site to the new site, but you WILL need to reset your password. To do this:
1) Go to the login page.
2) Select "I forgot my Password."
3) Enter your ESOC username and the email you used to sign up.
4) Open the email you signed up for ESOC with.
5) Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password.
In the event that you do not receive an email for password recovery, or you cannot remember/do not have access to the email you originally used to sign up with us, you must send either myself (Mitoe) or _H2O a message on our old Proboards site (https://eso-community.forums.net/) to prove your identity.
A big thanks to everyone in our development team for making our new site a reality:
_H2O, 91, musketeer925, and Tilanus!
And, last--but certainly not least--, SIGNS UPS FOR THE WINTER TOURNAMENT ARE NOW OPEN!
The signup process has been made even simpler than before: all you need to do is login to your ESOC account and visit THIS PAGE and enter the username for the ESO account you will be using to sign up!
For this event, we'll be returning to the familiar two-stage tournament format we used in the Spring Championship, with some minor adjustments: the top 32 players (as determined by previous tournament results and 1v1 Elo) will be preseeded to the Round of 64, while the remaining players duke it out in a battle-royale group stage, where those who score the most points will earn their place in the RO64 alongside the top seeds.
If for whatever reason you need to cancel your signup, simply revisit the signups page and click "Cancel my signup."
I hope to see your name in the tournament roster, and keep a look out for more details on tournament rules in the future!

Our ESOC Patch has been updated to 1.00.3 !
Here is a link to the most recent version of the patch :
Be sure to make sure that you are using the version 1.00.3 of the patch! Otherwise you will not be able to connect with everyone else who is playing on the correct version of the patch. You can check the version of your installation by going to "options" in the patch launcher.
This is an update to the launcher, which should make the installation and usage of the ESOC Patch much more streamlined and easy. Some custom UIs have been added to the white-list and other, quality-of-life measures have been added. Please download and install the 1.00.3 version of the patch. Note that even if you have 1.00.2 installed, the current launcher will detect that and uninstall the obsolete version of the patch. This makes things a bit more streamlined. I would also like to note that from this point onward, no more games will be played on RE for Strong World. If you continue to have technical difficulties, please send me a PM, but don't play out the match on the RE patch.

Hey, yes it is. Mind sharing with the class how you found us? Not anything wrong with it. I am just super curious. I know the link is out and about a bit.

Glad to hear you survived Mr Ear! Welcome to the new site .
Re: ESOC's NEW Site and Signups for the Winter Championship!
I missed it. Gonna have a hard time getting used to the new sites, physicists don't like change, but I think I might like it more when Im used to it.
I kinda changed accounts to a new main account which Id really like to use for the tournement, should I contact an admin about this and which admin would that be? Or won't it matter for me since I wont be one of the top 32 players?

Re: ESOC's NEW Site and Signups for the Winter Championship!
What I was wondering was if Id need to somehow notify them that the elo on the account I sign up with does not represent my actual skill level. I dont want to get flung into a group of death :pgibson wrote:Cancel your signup and than sign up with the correct accountJerom wrote:I missed it. Glad to see your ISP finally updated jerom!
Not sure about your question though. Since the seeding and stuff is automated by this site, signing up with your high-ranked account and then actually playing with your new one may be the answer, or you may just have to play tournaments on your old one until your new main is of the rank you want it.

Re: ESOC's NEW Site and Signups for the Winter Championship!
yeah but I kinda wanted to use the tournement to officially move to the new account. If Id show up in the brackets as my old account, that could provide some problems.musketeer925 wrote:Glad to see your ISP finally updated jerom!

Could I sign up with my old account and have you guys edit the name in the brackets then maybe?
Re: ESOC's NEW Site and Signups for the Winter Championship!
You mean for old brackets? If you are talking about winter, its still ESO Names that we put in the brackets. Forum names are only linked to them for tracking and coordination throughout the event.
For Seeding I can replace it manually if you want. PM me about that or just sign up with an appropriately rated account.

I think the format is great, but consider lowering the PR requirement to MS.

Click on the "list" text beside where it says 20/256, and it brings up a list of users.
