Confirmed AoE3:DE information
Re: Confirmed AoE3:DE information
Well outside of aoe3, if you care about your data, better left windows 7, it is not supported anymore.

Re: Confirmed AoE3:DE information
I only use my computer for aoe3.
Come to think of it i might aswell have Windows 10 then it wont matter.
Ladies and gentlemen there is still some hope.
If I can manage to install w10 and my comp can handle this.... I donno if its reasonable to buy a new computer to only play aoe 2hours per week?

I wouldn't worry, the game is relatively well optimised, i know of some people with pretty poor systems who ran it reasonably well.

At the same time some ppl with very good systems had bad performance.Riotcoke wrote:I wouldn't worry, the game is relatively well optimised, i know of some people with pretty poor systems who ran it reasonably well.

The 2017 pentium was actually decent though due to it's overclocking.

Re: Confirmed AoE3:DE information
you're probably thinking of the haswell (4th gen) g3258 from 2014. it didn't really make sense to buy an overclockable mobo for that cpu tho. i used the g4560 from 2017.Riotcoke wrote:The 2017 pentium was actually decent though due to it's overclocking.
pentium has been a part of intels lineup forever. when i last checked (2017) it was just above the low power celerons and very near the i3s.

Windows 7 is just so old now. It came out in 2009.. so 11 years ago.Victor_swe wrote:Ah man..harcha wrote:That's quite far fetched. Trust me - it doesn't even launch on Windows 7.Victor_swe wrote:Can someone mod this so it works on Windows 7
Remember back in 2010 or 2011... when Windwos 7 was out for 1-2 years and people knew this was the OS and Win XP (from 2001) was outdated.. we are very close to that point in Windows 7 being outdated right now.

Re: Confirmed AoE3:DE information
So apparently Brits can train longbows and pikes out of outposts in DE?? Am I seeing something wrong here? Is this maybe for all civs, that you can train archaic infantry from outposts but you need barracks for muskets?
Re: Confirmed AoE3:DE information
I think its one of the age up options, which means you really have to scout brits now.

Re: Confirmed AoE3:DE information
That's one thing, and actually quite cool. However, notice that manors also now don't spawn villagers, but... longbows. Interesting age-up indeed.Squamiger wrote:So apparently Brits can train longbows and pikes out of outposts in DE?? Am I seeing something wrong here? Re: Confirmed AoE3:DE information
It it the 4th age up politician that allows you to train lb in outposts, additionaly manors spawn longbows instead of vills.
The 5th politician activates the hot air balloon for your scout.

Re: Confirmed AoE3:DE information
If a Spanish teammate sends team Archaic Infantry Training, and brit sends infantry school, one could build outposts on top of distant mines or hunts and not only hide vills from raids, but spawn pikes there, and possibly even longbows vs goons. Spanish and British can now rush the enemy team together in 2v2, and have a sort of "safety" bonus if the game lasts longer.

Re: Confirmed AoE3:DE information
it's really weak to throw away the inherent brit bonus. also you don't get any stuff from your ageup, you have to make the outpost yourself and they are much more expensive than raxes. mannors still take forever to make. the ageup costs more. why are you salty mate? it's better than 4 cows at least
