Recording game
How does it work with recording games so you can see if someone is maphacking? If they are when you change to their point of view will you be able to tell by looking at their mini map? Or does recording game just really not help with anything?
Re: Recording game
If you would have their recorded game file, then you can use view lock and see if they do suspicious things. You will not be able to just see it on the minimap anyway, though.
Re: Recording game
Even without view lock you can switch fog of war on and off and try to deduct whether or not he knew something he should not based on where he sends his troops, etc.
Pay more attention to detail.

Re: Recording game
The biggest hint for someone maphacking is probably how he uses his explorer in age 1. If you check a recorded game of uhlan's ro64, you can see his explorer wasn't turning around the map, depending on what he was scouting etc. The explorer was actually always clicked just next to interesting treasures. Sometimes shift clicked, but the last click was always just next to a treasure. You could sometimes even see the explorer stopping for a couple seconds at that spot, before he would take the treasure.
If you want you can share that rec (if there is one) and I can tell you what I think.

Re: Recording game
If you click on the opponent's explorer during the recording while on the opponent's POV, then you should always be able to find the "movement flag" on the map if he was clicked to walk to an unexplored area. Often you will see an explorer walk directly to the best treasure on the map right at the start of the game without having explored any of the map. This by itself is pretty damning evidence. More irrefutable proof of map hacking is if they walk straight to the treasure and there is no visible flag anywhere on the map when checking with the above described method. This means that the explorer wasn't just clicked to walk there (as in a possible lucky guess), but the explorer was clicked to perform an action there (such as a crack shot). Obviously you cannot click to perform an action on a treasure/guardian with your explorer if the area is unexplored.. unless you have a maphack.
