Agecomm had an Off-topic subforum that dwarfed the rest of the forum in activity, but I don't think anyone will disagree that Agecomm was a successful, or maybe the best AoE community ever created. I'd argue that it wasn't in spite of Off-topic, but because of it. The friendships formed on Agecomm's Off-topic forum outlived Agecomm, and formed the seeds of many spin-off forums, including this one. It'd be a shame if ESOC were to be deprived of that.
As long as Off-topic isn't spammed with illegal, pornographic, violent, etc. content, I see no reason why it would hamper ESOC's solid reputation as the foremost AoE community.
Some people here are just trolls trying to stir up trouble. It's either that or they legitimately can't tolerate differing beliefs and points of view.
They've tried this crap before, but we defeated them. We need @
Metis back to save the Off-Topic forum once more!
