apple is the symptome of a disease called capitalism. Seriously more than 1 k for a fucking mobile phone is absurd.

When some smartphone users drop and break their phone because they don't have a case for their 1k phone is absurd lol
The normal iPhone price isn't so bad when you consider what you get. iOS is way more advanced than android. Definitely more reliable. iPhones also have much longer support - the 4S being supported for 5 years!
When you really consider a phones price an android phone may cost around like 500 or so for instance. You might need to upgrade in 2 years to get the latest feature from an official patch - Apples support is twice as long.
The iPhone X though is total garbage don't get it.

Literally just supply and demand.
If anything it's a symptom of brand solidification and genius marketing.
Whether it's true or not Apple is seen as the clear visionary of the phone industry. And Apple has in the past been this truly visionary force, always marketing itself as the clear precedent for cellular technology. Combine this with a great product (questions of cost efficiency thrown out the window) and you have a beast that is hardly the pure product of capitalism but rather basic economic principles, somewhat gullible consumers, and the ability to either predict/create the minimalist wave which would soon dominate the 2010s.
In fact capitalism is functioning completely as intended, the market has created several competitive brands offering similar products at cheaper costs! Imagine that!

Actually, capitalism will fix it if it really isn't worth it. Apple will lose money and learn to lower their prices. There is plenty of competition because of capitalism, giving you plenty of options instead.
I mean, 1000 for a phone that will last 3 years if you're lucky is just ridiculous. I dont even know what specifications it would be supposed to have to be that much better than a normal 400-600 android.

iPhone CPUs are pretty top of the range in benchmarks and its more like 4-5 years. Not if you are lucky; its official support
4-5 years support is great, but your phone will be a piece of crap by then. A piece of equipment like that won't be a terrificly functioning device for 5 years. It will be significantly worse after 3 years with at least a bunch of malfunctioning aspects. If you want to optimize the amount of years you can use your phone, the quality of the device and the money paid, you should buy some b-tier phones (oneplus, huawei, whatever is hot) and then you can buy 2 phones in 4 years for the same price as one iphone
I'd rather buy an overpriced iPhone than these chinese crapphones. My preference goes to the Galaxy though (and LG to a lesser extent). It's like for Windows, I prefer the Android's flexibility although Apple products have a great ecosystem.
