New setup.
New setup.
Hey,
I got rid of my old setup and now I'm looking for a new one. Especially for a good mechanical keyboard which is comfortable and a comfortable mouse up to 3.5K DPI intensity since I've been used to play with it. That's the things I'm looking for. I would be glad with any suggestions before I decide. I'm not looking for a huge keyboards or mouses something between.

Re: New setup.
Logitech has a good reputation afaik. What you will buy also depends on your budget i guess.

Don't really care if it's expensive tbh. Just wanna be comfortable with.
Re: New setup.
3.5k dpi suits for me, and indeed I do have a big monitor too.

Re: New setup.
I use a ducky mechanical keyboard (legend - silver) with cherry mx reds and a Logitech gaming mouse.
Re: New setup.
I have the G302 and it's a great mouse.

Cheap too. Been using it for more than a year without any issues.
Can't recommend a mech keyboard, because I don't like how noisy they are. I like more low-profile ones.

Re: New setup.
G302 seems good for RTS games.
This is also a good one I believe https://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/produ ... ?crid=1452
I'm using the G100s for the record and I think it's just best out of the logitech ones.

Re: New setup.
For a keyboard I'd recommend the SteelSeries 6GV2, not expensive and by far the most used keyboard by CS:GO pros (I know, different game but still).
Also I'm using the Logitech G403 which is great but also not really cheap.

Re: New setup.
I like that the G403 has braided cable. But then it depends on your preference and the quality of the braided cable.
Also I mentioned the model I have, I'm not saying it's the best, I'm sure there must be better mice out there, but also more expensive ones. But these new series from Logitech seem decent.
There are a few things you need to think about when choosing a mouse:
- how it fits your hand (small/big hand)
- which type of grip you like:

- sensor specs (polling rate in Hz, report rate in milliseconds, DPI)
- whether you need weights to balance its movement
- which buttons layout you prefer, ergonomy, shape
- type of cable (rubber, braided)
- which types of surfaces does it work on (some sensors, for example, don't work on glass)
- onboard memory
- how silent or noisy it is (but not all manufacturers specify this)
- how it looks like (leds, customisation, etc)
- don't overthink it, it's just a mouse.

Re: New setup.
For Mice, I used to use the Logitech G303 for its 12k DPI Sensor, but I use a SteelSeries Rival 300 now, pretty much the same sensor, but i got it for cheap and its a lot bigger for my hand. It's also got a CSGO Skin on it :)
Logitech Mice are just hands down the best. The G502 is a great general purpose mouse, I'd highly recommend it.
Probably the best keyboard hands down i've ever owned was the Logitech G710+.
Heres what you want to go with keyboards (and only get Cherry MX Switches - Kaith Blue switches are probably the best non-cherry switches i've used.)
Blue Switches: Tactile response. Great to know if you miss a lot of keys - but loud! You get these in cheap keyboards.
Brown Switches: Nice tactile response, I love these the most, they are also silent.
Red Switches: Low actuation force, so you can click many with little effort. Great if you want to type quickly.
Other switches are there but most are versions of the above.

Re: New setup.
I use a logitech g302, really good mouse, zero complains about performance for rts.......but shit durability, lots of people report clicking issues after one year, and I had the same issue.
I solved it for now opening it and re tensioning the button, I'm not sure how long will it last. But probably my next mouse wont be a logitech because of this issue.
edit: tbf, it lasted 2 years of rts gamming with lots of clicking, but idk, I would expect more.

Re: New setup.
I had my G302 since February last year, so about 1 year and 8 months, never had any issue with it. It's possible you just got a bad batch. It happens with other devices too, like monitors (display panels quality is a gamble).
It might also depend on how you used it. Some ppl abuse their mice a lot.

Re: New setup.
I am still on my mouse from Aldi, it set me back 9 Euro so it better last a few more years! Wireless of course.
It is connected my my 2012 notebook.
If you can accept the lowest possible gfx settings in AOE, the above makes a pretty sweet set-up.
