I once stole my parents keys and tried to open up our car as a three year old because it was sunday and I wanted to "grote beer kijken" (great bear see). I grabbed the keys from up the table while hardly being large enough to reach for the table.
Good thing my parents stopped me before I figured out how to operate that bloody automobile.

Also the zoo was in the wrong for having shitty fences, but that's somehow not an option
it's within the goldmine called offtopic/archives so whatever...
Theres going to be a dam, the great dam and we'll let the beavers pay for it - Edeholland 2016 Anyway, nuancing isn't your forte, so I'll agree with you like I would with a 8 year old: violence is bad, don't do hard drugs and stay in school Benj98
If Cecile the gorilla didn't want to get shot she would have used the child as a shield. I think it's clear the gorilla knew exactly what she was doing -- the zoo life was eroding her will to live, she pawned the dirty work off on an unsuspecting zoo worker probably suffering from PTSD now. The child was only ever in danger of becoming a complicit accessory in suicide by zoologist. Tragic, tragic story.

I dunno why I've always read it as "self-immobilization" until now

Great poll overall, 4/7
I appreciate your humility in thinking that you might be wrong about Cecil the lion being not involved in this situation
If I were a petal
And plucked, or moth, plucked
From flowers or pollen froth
To wither on a young child’s

Me a ribbon, they, all dead
Things scream.
